2025 Nissan Frontier Problems

Common problems: Based on what consumers online are saying, the most common problems with the 2025 Nissan Frontier are brake problems and steering problems.

Vehicle owners mention their vehicles shuddering during operation and worry that lasting damage could occur.

Two ongoing recalls also indicate there might be problems with the electrical system. If you are interested in purchasing a 2025 Nissan Frontier or already own one, continue reading to find out more!

The 2025 Nissan Frontier is advertised as a capable truck at an accessible price point, but like any other vehicle, it isn’t perfect.

Because the vehicle is still fairly new, consumers have not lodged too many complaints about the car; however, there are some complaints out there, and they contain helpful information for someone who might want to purchase a 2025 Frontier, or for someone who already owns one and wants to be on the lookout for upcoming problems.

Nissan has also issued two recalls for the 2025 Frontier, both involving electrical systems issues.

Top Three 2025 Nissan Frontier Problems

  • Brake Problems: Brake pedal pulsing, vibration in front wheel
  • Steering Problems: Vibration at high speeds through steering wheel
  • Electrical System Issues: Daytime lights recall, rearview camera malfunction recall

2025 Nissan Frontier Brake Problems

Of the different problems consumers described, brake problems are some of the most dangerous because functioning brakes are critical for operating a vehicle safely.

Consumers mainly discussed how their brake pedal would pulse when used, even though the vehicle was new and the driver had not been driving in a way that would damage the brakes.

Multiple consumers mentioned how their vehicle vibrated while driving at high speeds and that the vibrations seemed to be coming from the front wheels of their vehicle.

Those vibrations could, over time, cause other damage or problems to appear in the vehicle, and one consumer mentioned that the vibrations would impact the steering experience.

Because brake problems can be so dangerous for drivers, drivers should be careful if they notice any brake issues in their 2025 Frontier.

2025 Nissan Frontier Electrical System Recalls

Other than what consumers have reported, Nissan itself has announced two recalls related to the 2025 Nissan Frontier, both of which concern the electrical system.

The first recall, announced in May 2025, concerned the rearview camera image not displaying on the car’s central information display.

This inhibits the driver’s ability to properly see behind them and could be dangerous for that reason. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Recall Campaign Number is 25V324000.

The second recall was announced in August 2025 and involved the daytime lights spontaneously dimming when the car engine cycles from off to on. This could confuse other drivers, so Nissan issued a recall.

To fix the issue, vehicle owners should visit a Nissan dealer who will update the software causing the problem free to charge. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Recall Campaign Number is 25V508000.

What Frontier Drivers Note

“Vehicle vibrates at highway speeds starting at 65-70 mph and above. The vibration can be felt thought the steering wheel, after long periods of driving it leads to numb hands. The continuous vibration will cause premature damage to other systems of the vehicle (drive-train and fluid leaks).”

“Good people but Frontier lacks value. Consumers are already talking catch cans for the carbon buildup due to the direct injection engine. Other manufacturers add port injection to help with this issue. More dangerous than competitors in a 35mph crash with another vehicle of the same size. Rollover probability greater than Toyota. I predict rapid depreciation on the Frontier. I kept my last truck 12 years but got rid of this one in 3 months.”

“After owning the vehicle for five months and around 7500 miles, I begin to notice my brake pedal pulsing when I press hard and as time went on, I started feeling vibration in the vehicle and the front wheel. It felt as if the front brake rotors warped. this should not happen. The vehicle was driven normally no overheating or hard use of the brakes.”

How to Assert Your Lemon Law Rights

Buying and owning a new vehicle should be an enjoyable and exciting experience for a consumer, not a stressful one.

Unfortunately, some vehicles that consumers end up with contain defects that repairs don’t seem to be able to fix.

In those cases, a consumer should turn to their state’s lemon law to be compensated for purchasing a defective vehicle.

While the exact steps and requirements vary from state to state, most laws follow a similar framework.

First, the vehicle must have a defect that is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and affects its use, safety, or value.

This can include mechanical failures, electrical issues, brake problems, steering defects, or other recurring malfunctions.

The manufacturer or its authorized dealer must then be given a reasonable number of attempts to fix the issue while under warranty—often defined by law as two to four repair visits for the same problem, or a certain number of days the vehicle is out of service within the warranty period.

If the consumer’s vehicle has been subject to repeat warranty repair attempts or the vehicle has been out of service for an extended number of days, the consumer may be eligible for relief under the lemon law.

The process typically starts with notifying the manufacturer in writing of the ongoing problem and your intent to pursue a claim.

If the claim is successful, the manufacturer may be required to either repurchase the defective vehicle or replace it with a comparable new one, and in many cases, reimburse incidental costs such as towing or rental cars.

Also, as the prevailing party, the defendant manufacturer is typically responsible to pay for the consumer’s legal fees and costs thus making the pursuit of a lemon law claim an easy and right decision.

Because auto manufacturers have legal teams dedicated to defending against lemon law claims, having an experienced lemon law attorney can make a significant difference.

They can ensure deadlines are met, evidence is properly documented, and negotiations are handled strategically, increasing the likelihood of a favorable outcome for the consumer.
