Why did you choose lemon law? Lemon law is fundamentally about protecting the rights of individuals against larger entities (vehicle manufacturers). This aligns with a passion for advocacy and leveling the playing field for consumers. It provides a strong sense of satisfaction in helping consumers directly. Moreover, lemon law closely relates to my personal passion for cars. Car owners experiencing problems are often frustrated and need someone who genuinely understands their predicament. My shared passion can build rapport and trust, as I can completely relate why their car’s performance or reliability is so important to them.

How long have you been practicing law? I’ve been practicing law in the United States since May 2025, but I was licensed in India before this.

What do you enjoy most about practicing law? Law, by its nature, is intellectually demanding. I find satisfaction in the continuous learning and problem-solving required in my daily work.

Gunwant Singh earned his law degree (B.A. LL.B, J.D. equivalent) from the University Institute of Legal Studies at Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, in 2020. During law school, he actively participated in national-level Moot Court competitions and won a prestigious competition organized by UNICEF. He also served on the Moot Court Committee.

He completed his LL.M. from the University of California, Irvine in 2023, with a focus on Immigration Law. After passing the California Bar Exam, he worked as an Associate at an immigration law firm.

Beyond his legal interests, Gunwant enjoys reading about international relations, defense, and security, playing lawn tennis, and spending quality time with his family. He is fluent in Panjabi and Hindi.
