Nancy Zhang is an experienced litigator who specializes in cases involving breach of warranty and consumer fraud against automobile manufacturers. Nancy enjoys honing her consumer advocacy skills, and is proficient in all aspects of litigation involving violation of California’s consumer protection statutes. Prior to joining Consumer Law Experts, Nancy was an associate at a civil litigation firm where she litigated mostly family law cases, but also handled a wide variety of civil cases involving business disputes, contractual disputes, Anti-SLAPP, and defamation.

What do you enjoy most about practicing law? In this profession, it is a constant learning process in figuring out (1) what is the true issue at the heart of the argument, (2) how to present and attack an argument, and (3) how to convince the judge that my position is the right one. This learning process encompasses honing public speaking skills, communication skills, and the ability to read people and situations with precision (and how to respond accordingly). The challenge and evolution that is embedded in this profession is what I enjoy the most.

What law school did you attend? I attended the University of West Los Angeles School of Law.

What types of cases do you typically handle? I started out my career working primarily in family law; however, I’ve handled a wide gamut of cases such as breach of contract, professional negligence, defamation, and judgment debtor. Currently at CLE, my areas of practice are personal injury, lemon law, and strict products liability.

Biography

In addition to her legal experience in the state court, Nancy also has extensive experience on the federal and appellate levels. Nancy has litigated cases and presented oral argument before the Second District Court of Appeal, the United States Bankruptcy Court, and the Central and Northern District Courts.
