Rafael Sanchez is a new associate attorney with CLE. Prior to joining CLE and being admitted to the bar, Rafael was a Fellow with the American Board of Trial Advocates. During his time as a Fellow, Rafael worked with Senior ABOTA members and received mentorship in the areas of depositions, court hearings, settlement conferences, mediations, and trials.
During law school, Rafael gained practical experience by participating in Loyola Law School’s prestigious Hobbs/Poehls District Attorney Practicum. The program placed Rafael at the Long Beach District Attorney’s office within the Preliminary Hearing unit, where he was able to litigate several preliminary hearings on the record, argue motions, and support Deputy District Attorney’s with day-to-day operations.
After being admitted to the bar in 2020, Rafael worked as a civil litigator for an insurance defense firm. There, he litigated cases from their inception, up until trial, gaining experience in preparing discovery, conducting depositions, meeting and conferring with opposing counsel, mediation, settling cases, and trial preparation.
His hobbies include traveling, considers himself a movie buff, staying healthy and fit, and keeping up with current technologies. He also has an 8-year-old boy which he loves to spend time with.
