Mazda Motor Corporation announced the recall of over 103,000 vehicles. This recall is focused on 2008 to 2009 Mazda3 and MazdaSpeed3 vehicles made between January 7, 2008 and November 28, 2008. These vehicles are having problems with the motors on the windshield wipers, and according to NHTSA it could make it difficult for drivers to see and therefore pose a substantial likelihood of death or bodily injury in adverse weather conditions. This problem is believed to be caused by a ground terminal for the wiper motor which was inadvertently bent during assembly.
