“My car dash and all electrical components are shutting off WHILE I’m driving! All needles go to 0, radio shuts off, AC/HEATER, turn signals, brake lights, headlights, ect. The engine seems to run for a moment and then shuts off. Once the car is pulled over to the side of the road (if I make it!) and turn the car completely off and try to start it again, it won’t turn on immediately. I’ve had to sit for 5 -10 minutes on the side of the freeway multiple times on my way home from work as the car would continue to shut down on me. It’s absolutely terrifying. Luckily I wasn’t driving at night and was visible in the daylight and LUCKILY I didn’t have my children in the car with me when this has happened.”
“This car has been in the shop for a devastating amount of time and with the car shortage, I have rarely been able to receive a loaner. Luckily it has not left me stranded on the road, but the air conditioning was inoperable for 7 weeks this summer. Both the computer and the mechanical HVAC system had to be completely replaced. The steering wheel heater has broken 2x, one of the side view mirrors stopped operating and the blind spot monitoring wasn’t working, one of the window motors broke, the sunroof seal squeaks incessantly in cool weather, the genuine leather seams of my SEL Premium’s driver’s seat are starting to tear (at 50,000 miles). As much as I enjoy driving it and the features, I cannot recommend this car to my worst enemy.”
