How long have you been practicing law? I’ve been practicing in California for 3 years, and in Canada I practiced for 3 years.

What sets you apart from other attorneys in your field? Coming from a multi-national background, I believe I bring a unique perspective and set of skills to my practice. My experience litigating before provincial and federal courts in Canada, and now state court in California, has given me the tools to seek creative and novel solutions to common problems. It has also allowed me to work with clients, and appear before judges, coming from a range of different backgrounds.

Why did you become a lawyer? I became a lawyer because I enjoy advocating for those seeking justice, equality, and fair treatment. The practice of law affords one an opportunity to make a measurable difference in the world and effect positive change in people’s lives.

Can you share a notable case or success you’ve had in the past? While I have practiced in a number of areas prior to working in lemon law, the most memorable experience I’ve had is a lawyer was working on an immigration case involving an appeal of a deportation order issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). I was successful in the appeal and prevented the breakup of a family who had recently immigrated from Pakistan. It is one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in my career.

Biography

Andrew Dickson is an associate attorney specializing in cases involving defects and breach of warranty, with a focus on representing consumers in Song-Beverly, Magnuson-Moss, and fraud actions against automobile manufacturers. Prior to joining Consumer Law Experts, he worked at a plaintiff’s firm handling employment litigation in state and federal court. Andrew is a diligent and tenacious advocate for his clients and has successfully litigated cases and secured favorable settlements for individuals against large corporations and public entities. He has appeared before courts in both Canada and the U.S.

Outside of law practice, Andrew is a professional musician who plays several instruments and performs around Los Angeles.
