Ford F-150 Recall
Lemon Law Alert! Ford recalls nearly 365,000 F-150 pick-up trucks
On Thursday, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that Ford Motor Company is recalling nearly 365,000 F-150 pick-up trucks in North America. The reason for the recall? A potential problem with the interior door handles not working properly on model years 2009 and 2010 F-150 trucks.
The F-150 is the primary model of Ford’s F-series of trucks. For the past 34 years, the F-150 has been one of the best-selling vehicles in the U.S. market.
The NHTSA announced that model years 2009 and 2010 F-150 trucks that were produced between January 2008 and November 2009 are being recalled because the door handle spring can fail causing the door latch to open.
Ford has announced that it will be notifying customers with loose door handles to bring their trucks into Ford or Lincoln dealerships in order to replace the interior door handles.
If you are driving a 2009 or 2010 Ford F-150, and have not yet experienced any problems with the door handles, take your vehicle to an authorized Ford or Lincoln dealership who will assess your vehicle and make any necessary repairs.
However,if you have already experienced any problems with your F-150 and you have taken your car into a dealership for at least one repair, you may have a lemon and you may be entitled to your money back or a new vehicle.
