Lemon Law Alert! Little Hesitation by Volvo in Recalling Cars with Fuel Pump Problems
Volvo Cars of North America announced the recall of over 7,000 vehicles. This recall is focused on 2012 Volvo S60 vehicles, which are having problems caused by the fuel pumps. These were vehicles built between November 2010 and May 2011.
Volvo has stated that this recall is due to the fact that the software is not compatible with the fuel pumps, which does not allow the Volvo S60 to deliver fuel properly. The driver of this vehicle may experience a hesitation when driving, or in more serious cases the vehicle may stall while driving. These problems obviously pose a serious risk of bodily injury or death to a driver.
As the owner of a Volvo you are entitled to get these repairs done by a dealer free of charge. However, when these repairs are made to your Volvo S60, make sure you are getting a software upgrade, and not a software downgrade, whereby the dealer will make a software change to your car which removes the sporty acceleration of your vehicle.
If you have bought or leased a Volvo S60 and are experiencing issues while driving, including the vehicle stalling or hestitating, you should call an experienced attorney at Consumer Law Experts today in order to discuss your rights.
